Betty Ann Gallier

December 15, 1941 — August 21, 2014

Betty Ann Gallier of Forest, born December 15, 1941 in Memphis TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 21, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

She was the daughter of the late Cribbin Owen and Dorothy Simpson Owen.

She was the wife of Lawrence Edward Gallier for 57 years. She was preceded in death by one sister, Charlotte Hix of Indiana. She is survived by three daughters; Sheryl Johns (Donald) of Evington, Carol Quaintance (Ron) of Lynchburg, Denise Coffer of Lynchburg; two sons, Larry Gallier (Theresa) of California, and David Gallier (Debbie) of Lynchburg; nine Grandchildren, Daniel Gallier, Derik Gallier, Brianna Gallier all of California, Pam Combs and Jenny Johns of Evington, David Gallier Jr. of Forest, Christina Dickerson of Lynchburg, Jessica Carlson of Rustburg, and Brittany Quaintance of Lynchburg; Eleven Great-Grandchildren; two sisters, June Long (Bill) of Mississippi, Suzy Will (Dave) of Indiana; two brothers Jerry Owen (Jean) of Mississippi, and Bobby Owen (Debbie) of Missouri. She will also be greatly missed by her four legged companion, Sprite.

Betty worked at Allen Morrison for 20 plus years then retired from G.E. Company. She was also a member of Victory Christian Fellowship.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Lynchburg General Hospital, especially the staff of Surgical and Medical Intensive Care Units, as well as the staff of Lynchburg Dialysis Center for all their love and care. They would also like to thank special friend Teresa Dalton for all of her kind love and support shown over the years.

The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg, Sunday, August 24, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. and other times at the home of Donald and Sheryl Johns. A funeral service will be held at Victory Christian Fellowship, Monday August 25, 2014 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Ken Parrish. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.

Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory, Lynchburg (434-237-9424) is assisting the family.
