Betty Ewers Vaughan, 83, of Forest died Monday December 15, 2015. She was the wife of the late Thomas Conway Vaughan.
Betty Lou was born March 25, 1932 in Lynchburg, a daughter of the late Alfred Clark Ewers and Thelma Garber Lorentz.
She is survived by her children: Wes Morton (Garland) of Forest, Steve Morton (Cheryl) of Forest, Deborah Lovette (Tony) of Richmond, Kathryn Vaughan (Kelly) of Fairway, KS, and Patricia Jennings (Ted) of Rustburg; eleven grandchildren: Jaime Burgess, Ashley Morton, Ben Morton, Sara Hillary, Windsor Lovette, Chatham Lovette, Lauren Malott, Grayson Gibson, Danielle Tanner, Derek Jennings, and Jeremy Ackerman; six great-grandchildren, one brother Alfred C. Ewers, Jr. (Ruth) of Virginia Beach, and her four-legged child “Tara”.
A private family graveside will take place at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Dan Garber officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg.
