Betty Goodman Smith, 82, of Goode, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 19, 2016. She was the wife of the late Charles William Smith.
Betty was born on March 4, 1934 in Lynchburg to the late Stephen O. Goodman and the late Sallie P. Goodman.
Betty is survived by her daughter Teresa Worley, and her husband, Seebert L. Worley, of Goode; two grandsons, Jason Worley of Mt. Airy, NC, and Brian Worley of Seattle, WA., her great-granddaughter Azriel Worley; two brothers, Billy Goodman of Lynchburg, and Bobby Goodman of Appomattox; and three special friends, Dennis and Melissa Jones, and Judy Bailey.
A celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 1100 a.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery.
