Betty Jo Brooks

Betty-Jo Brooks, 73, of Lynchburg, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017. Our beloved sister, mother, grandmother has gone to be with our Lord.
She leaves behind a sister Vicky Beeman and husband, Robert; a daughter Stacey Brooks; a son Jeff Brooks; a daughter Kristie Pitts; her grandsons Derek Mudrie, Daniel Mudrie and his girlfriend, Bailey Hillsman, and Daniel Allen; a granddaughter Taren Mudrie and her boyfriend, Anthony Nowlin; eight great grandchildren: Aidan, Malaya, Christian, Myah, Caidan, Chance, Camdan, and Baby Nowlin who is due in July.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, George Egelston, Jr. and Roy Egleston, and a sister Shirley Peters.
A celebration of Betty-Jo’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
