Betty Jordan Russell
Betty Jordan Russell, 83, of Lynchburg passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Elsie Dillard Page and the late Maurice T. Jordan.
Betty graduated from E.C. Glass High School and attended Central Virginia Community College. Betty was a warm and loving person who cared deeply about her family, friends and her Church.
She was a Medical Secretary and worked at Virginia Baptist Hospital and with various doctors in Lynchburg.
Betty is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charlie Russell; a niece, Melanie Jordan, of Fredericksburg, VA; two cousins, Jean Suttenfield of Goode and Ray James Page of Lynchburg.
A funeral service will be held at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11:00 am with Msgr. J. Kenneth Rush officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 5, 2014, from 2:00 \"" 4:00 pm at Tharp Funeral Home.
