Betty Lindvahl Dahlgren, age 80, lived at Westminster Canterbury in Lynchburg, Virginia, where she passed away peacefully on November 29th. She was born April 22, 1936, in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Leroy and Elsie Lindvahl.
Betty graduated from high school in Rockford and then attended Augustana College, in Rock Island, Illinois, where she met her loving husband, Wayne Dahlgren.
In 1958, Betty and Wayne were married in Rockford. They raised two children, Bruce Dahlgren and Kristin (Dahlgren) Cleare, moving several times supporting Wayne’s career and providing a loving home at various locations around the United States.
Betty loved arts and crafts, a good game of Bridge and volunteering for community activities. She was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lynchburg for over twenty years.
Betty is survived by her husband Wayne Dalhgren; son, Bruce W. Dahlgren of Singapore and daughter Kristin E. (Dahlgren) Cleare of Milton, Georgia; brother Ronald Lindvahl; Betty’s six grandchildren, Jordan, Heather, Steven, Whitney, Samantha and Mikael; and many dear friends.
The family welcomes friends and family for a memorial celebration and reception afterward at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 18th.
