Betty Listoe Costinett

Betty Listoe Costinett, 95, of Bedford, died, Monday, August 26, 2013, at Campbell\"™s Rest Home in Bedford. Born in Washington, DC, on July 25, 1918, a daughter of the late Maj. Alexander Eugene Listoe and Blanche Edwards Thompson Listoe of Bedford. In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Col. John Harrison Costinett; a brother, Alexander Eugene Listoe, Jr., and sister, Hannah Frances Listoe.

Betty was a member of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Bedford. She was a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Nursing, a member of the Mount Vernon Chapter, DAR, a past Senior President of the Ann McCarty Ramsay Society, Children of the American Revolution, and a charter member of the Bedford Historical Society. She was active for many years in the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Venice, FL. She also was a member of the Latin Liturgy Association.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Costinett Molnar-Suhajda and her husband, John; two granddaughters, Melinda Molnar-Suhajda and Alexandra Baldwin and her husband, Bryan; also several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Per the family\"™s request they ask for no flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Bedford Life Saving Crew, P.O. Box 161, Bedford, VA 24523.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, (540)-586-3443.
