Betty Lloyd Callahan, 70, of Forest, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at her home.
Betty was born September 14, 1946 in Lynchburg, a daughter of the late Arthur Bateman, Jr., and Estelle Camden Bateman of Lynchburg. In addition to her mother she is survived by her step father, Ray Franz of Lynchburg; 2 sisters-in-law, Dianne Bateman of Stuart, Florida and Becky Bateman of Lynchburg; daughter, Debbie Fortnum of Charlotte, NC; a granddaughter Savannah Lloyd of Charlotte, NC; and numerous close friends.
In addition to her father she is preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur Bateman, III, and Steve Bateman, and one sister, Laura Jurcevich.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2017 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg, with a brief eulogy towards the end of the visitation.
