Betty Lorine Campbell Babish, 68, of Amherst died Saturday June 21, 2014. She was the wife of the late Herbert Stephen Babish.
Betty was born January 20, 1946 in Amherst a daughter of the late Harold Campbell and Virginia Campbell. Betty was a school bus driver for the County of Amherst for over 46 years.
She is survived by her children: Andy Babish and wife Lynn of Disputanta, Stephenie B. Adams and husband D.R. of Hurt, and Matt Babish of Amherst, three grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Samuel, and Seth Babish, six sisters: Ina, Sandra, Beatrice, Vera, Belinda, and Joyce, five brothers: Ray, Joe, Ivan, Ted, and Sheckley.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Bud and a sister Cleola.
A Graveside service for Betty will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday June 26, 2014 at the Campbell Family Cemetery, Campbells Mill Road, Amherst, VA 24521, with Chaplain Wayne Lanham officiating.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 2050 Langhorne Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
