Betty Lynn Yates
Betty June Lynn Yates, 79, of Rustburg, died Tuesday, October 4, 2011.
She was born in Lynchburg on August 7, 1932, a daughter of the late William O. Lynn and the late Ressie Lawrence Lynn.
Betty worked with the Campbell County Senior Program and was a member of New Chapel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Buddy Yates; Betty Marie Turner and her husband, Kenneth, all of Forest; Ginger Rae Rosser and her husband, William \"Buster\" of Rustburg; a sister: Angie L. Hammock and her husband, Mike of Lynchburg; grandchildren: Matt Yates and his wife, Kristan; Nathan Yates and his wife, Jenny, Erin Yates, Adam Turner, Kenda DiGloria and her husband, Aaron. Charlie Rosser and his wife, Elizabeth and Jared Rosser; great-grandchildren: Kaeden and Cooper Yates, Charlotte Yates; Sage, Lena, and Eli Rosser, and Katie Rosser. Heather, Curtis, Jeffery and Owen whom she thought of as family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son, Gerald Yates.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Saturday, October 8, 2011at Cumbie Memorial Cemetery, Rustburg, with Rev. George Kreidel Sr. officiating.
Visitation will be at Rustburg United Methodist Church following the service.
