Betty Hotchkiss Matthews, 90, of Forest, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018.
Born April 18, 1928, in Wilmore KY, to the late Roy and Marian Hotchkiss. Betty was a nutritionist for Home Extension for five years and was also an accomplished artist. She graduated in Pasadena CA. Betty also enjoyed playing in a Bluegrass band for five years. She loved Jesus Christ and was a devout Christian.
In addition to her parents Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Albert Matthews, sisters, Edna and Trudy, four brothers and grandson Sean Patrick DeBolt. She is survived by her children, Dawn Kamal, Marian Decker (Larry), George Matthews (Dianne), and Father Theophan Frank Matthews; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one brother Richard Hotchkiss.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg.
