Betty Jean Toms English, 69, of Bedford, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017. She was the loving wife of Barry Michael English.
Born September 10, 1948 in Bedford, she was the daughter of George William Toms Sr. and madjil Myrtle Toms.
Betty never met a stranger, she was very much an animal lover but the most important thing to her was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
In addition to her husband, “Granny G” is survived by her two daughters: Amanda Bowles and her husband, Kelly; Kim Turpin and her husband, Dennis; Son: Timmy English and his wife, Karen; five grandchildren: Laura Beth English, Katlyn Turpin, Kelsee English, Logan Turpin,
Alex Ellis; three great-grandchildren: Easton, Chloe, Chasen; brother: George W. “Bill” Toms; niece: Connie Rhodes and her husband, Mike; nephew: Bill Toms and his wife, Rhonda.
Per Betty’s” request there will not be a service. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Bedford Humane Society. 829 Ole Turnpike Drive, Bedford, VA 24523.
