Betty Tyree Peters

Betty Tyree Peters was reunited with her parents, Paul and Lena Tyree on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Born in Lynchburg, Va., on January 7, 1940 she was known to all for her love of family, flowers, and mischief.

Betty married her high school sweetheart Paul R. Peters Sr. on September 19, 1958 and together they raised four children, Ricky (Brenda), Roger, Temby, and Dawn (Josh). Betty is also survived by four grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Nick, and Aiden: two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Phoebe; brother Michael H. Tyree (Brenda), their children Kathy, Kristie (Todd), Stacy (Kristy), and Jarrett; sisters-in-law, Jane Peters, Lynda Bullington (John) and their daughter Amanda (Jeremy), as well as one great-nephew Jonah and five great-nieces Beyla, Taylor, Charlotte, Violet, and Lily.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life in May where friends and family will gather amongst her many gardens to honor her legacy with music, dancing, stories, and laugher.
