Betty Watson Dodson

Betty Watson Dodson, 78, of Lynchburg went to be with the Lord on Tuesday July 17, 2012. She was the loving and devoted wife of Lynwood James Dodson.

Betty was born August 13, 1933, in Bedford. She was a daughter of the late Holly Owen Watson and the late Martha Atkinson Watson. She was a graduate of Moneta High School where she received the honor award of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Anyone who was privileged enough to know Betty, received a special blessing from her. She exemplified Christ in her daily walk. We, her family, were blessed by her guidance and her example as a strong woman of faith.

Angel and husband Allen of Lynchburg, brother Owen Lee Watson and wife Alice of Bedford, and she was blessed in her lifetime by a number of devoted nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy W. Ransom.
