B. Elizabeth “Betty” McHenry, 91, of Lynchburg, VA, went home to be with God, on Friday, July 4, 2014. She was the wife of the late Roy Boyd McHenry.
Betty was born Friday, June 29, 1923 in New York, a daughter of the late George Leschorn and the late Laura Reiner Leschorn. She was retired from Life of Virginia where she was Office manager and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk, VA.
She is survived by her daughters: Sue McHenry of Lynchburg and Deborah Massie and her husband Larry of Gering, NE; her grandchild: Royce E. Massie; step-grandchildren: Andrea Huffaker and Cary Massie; a sister: Jean Turk; several nieces and nephews, and special friend Ed Simms of Norfolk.
A celebration of Betty’s life will be conducted at a later date at Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk, Virginia.
