Beulah Hudson Picklesimer, 90, of Lynchburg, VA, died Sunday, June 13, 2010. She was the wife of the late Roma Jack Picklesimer for 68 years.
Mrs. Picklesimer was born Monday, November 3, 1919 in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late Walter Guy Hudson and Mamie Ashley Hudson. She was a member of Fort Hill Woman's Club and Lynchburg Woman\"™s Club. She enjoyed playing bridge and bowling and was a member of the Tuesday Morning Senior Citizens Bowling League at Fort Hill. Always up for an adventure, her travels took her to all 50 states and 24 countries. She was a good cook, an accomplished seamstress, and was well known for her impish grin and refined sense of humor.
She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn P. Shepherd and husband, Clyde, Lynchburg, VA; two grandchildren, Valerie Butler, Sacramento, CA and Greg Butler and wife, Lynita, Loxahatchee, FL; four great grandchildren, Lukas and Morgan Caroline Yanni, Sacramento, CA, Kristi and Tyler Butler, Loxahatchee, FL; a nephew, David A. Hudson, Indianapolis, IN; and her special friend and caregiver, Sandra Robbins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sybil Lehr, and a brother, James William Hudson.
A private family celebration of Beulah's life will be conducted at a later date.
