Beverly Burks Armbruster

Beverly Burks Watson Armbruster, 89, of Bedford, died Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home. Born on February 27, 1921 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Dolly Major Watson and Harry Cooper Watson.



Beverly was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. She graduated from M. E. Marques High School in Big Island and Lewis Gale School of Nursing in Roanoke. She was a retired Registered Nurse of the V.A. Medical Center in Salem.



In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, George Armbruster; two sisters, Virginia W. Mitchell and Harriet Mitchell.  She is survived by a sister, Margaret W. Moon of Covington; a nephew, Jack C. Mitchell and his wife, Maxine of Bedford; and a niece, Dolly Moon of Brooklyn, N.Y.



Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, May 8, 2010 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church Cemetery with Rev. Dr. David L. Henderson officiating.
