Beverly Jean Harmon

Beverly Jean Harmon, 72, of Rustburg, died on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was preceded in death by a son Douglas Harmon, and her sister Newnna Gentsch.

Born Thursday, February 10, 1944, in Herminie, Pa., she was a daughter of the late William R. Gentsch and Geraldine Farlow Gentsch.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses, James L. “Jimmy” Harmon II (Tammy Sue) of Forest, George W. “Billy” Harmon of Rustburg, and Thomas K. “Tommy” Harmon (Christy) of Gladys; her grandchildren, James L. Harmon III, Steven M. Harmon, Tiffany H. Maynard (Hunter), Trisha A. Harmon, Aiden J. Harmon, Ashley N. Harmon, and Alyssa M. Harmon, and her brother Dennis Gentsch.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, on Saturday January 14, 2017, at 4 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service.
