Billie Gunter Moyer, 94, of Lynchburg, passed on Monday, December 7, 2015. She was the wife of the late Asa Henry Moyer, Sr.
Billie was born in Lynchburg on March 9, 1921 a daughter of the late Charles Max Gunter and the late Mildred Baker Gunter Sheffield. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and a member of the REBEKAHS.
She is survived by her daughter, Fay Staton (Robert) of Lynchburg; her son Steven Moyer (Scottie) of Rustburg; two grandsons, Robert Staton, Jr. (Pam) of Forest and Steven F. Moyer of Manhattan Beach, CA.; her granddaughter, Kelly Moyer Hamlett (Jessie) of Lynchburg; and her great-granddaughter, Libbie Staton of Forest. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Asa Moyer, Jr.
A visitation will be held Tharp Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Fort Hill Memorial Park on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Dan Manley officiating.
