Billy David Nester

Billy David \"Bill\" Nester, 65, of Bedford, died Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Bedford Memorial Hospital. A son of the late Sidney Albert Nester and Eula Gertrude Creasy Nester, he was born on July 24, 1946 in Bedford. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and James Nester and a sister, Peggy Goff.

Bill was a member of Cool Spring Pentecostal Holiness Church and loved hunting and fishing; but most of all he loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Carter Nester; a daughter Rhonda Nester of Bedford; a brother, Wayne Nester and wife Peggy; and sisters, Gladys Dooley and husband Robert, Katherine Carter, Shirley Nichols and husband Charles, Betty Goff and husband Gordon, Nancy Carter and husband Roy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Tharp Funeral Chapel with Rev. Earl C. Ragland and Rev. Marc Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Peaks Church and Community Cemetery

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Tharp Funeral Home.
