Blaine Straton Hartless

Blaine Straton Hartless, 85, a lifelong resident of Amherst County passed from this life to the next on November 26, 2015, surrounded by his love ones.
Born Tuesday, September 2, 1930, in Amherst County, Blaine was a son of the late John Wilson Hartless, and the late Ollie Staton Hartless
Blaine is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Peggy, sons Roger S. Hartless, of Amherst, Danny R. Hartless (Donna), of Clearbrook, VA, a daughter, Debbie M. Jones (Don), of Powatan, VA, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a brother, Leonard Hartless and sisters, Hilda Cocula, Dorothy Walker, Sandra Hartless, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Blaine was preceded in death his brothers, Wilson Junior, Guy, and Dayton, and a daughter in-law Linda Carr Hartless.
Blaine retired from the Lynchburg Foundry. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, and spending quality time with his family. He will be missed by all.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Tharp, Madison Heights. A celebration of Blaine’s life will be conducted at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Midway Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Harvey officiating. Interment will follow in Briarwood Memorial Gardens.
