Blanche “Skinny Granny” Goff Peters Ferguson, 97 passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born on March 24, 1920 to the late Frank and Ottie Goff.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Clarence Peters. Additionally she was preceded by her late husband, Edward Ferguson and a great-granddaughter, Mindy Lawson.
She is survived by her three children, James Peters of Big Island, VA, Lois Peters Dalton, (Jeff) of Boise, ID and Helen Peters Wilson, (Wayne) of Forest, VA; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Skinny Granny was known for her very devoted and dedicated lifestyle. She was a member of Big Island Baptist Church where she volunteered for special events and gatherings. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary 217. She also enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family and her two special dogs, Julie and Smokey. She will be missed by all that knew her.

A funeral service and celebration of her life will be conducted 11:00 am, Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Big Island Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Watkins officiating. Burial will be in Big Island Sunset Hill Cemetery with a reception to follow at the church.
