Bobby Lee Adkins Jr., 55, of Rustburg, died Friday, November 03, 2017. He was the husband of Laura Davidson Adkins, for 16 years
Born Friday, May 25, 1962 in Hinton, WV, Bobby was a son of the late Bobby Lee Adkins, Sr. and the late Patricia Adkins.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbi Nicole Adkins, a sister, Kathy Sue Adkins; and his father in-law, Harold (Bug) Davidson.
In addition to his wife, Bobby is survived by his children, Paige, Tamika, Bobby (Trey), and Grace; his siblings, Brenda Kay, Kenny, Bonnie, Kay, Joyce, Lisa, Becky, and Tina; and his mother in-law, Carolyn Davidson.
Bobby was always there for his children, he enjoyed staying involved with their lives. He enjoyed helping others, even after becoming ill himself. He enjoyed working out at the YMCA and the fellowship with others there. Bobby was a valued employee of Adams Construction and enjoyed the fellowship of his church, Hyland Heights Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 07, 2017 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg. A celebration of Bobby’s life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 08, 2017 at Hyland Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Weiser officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
