Bonicha “Tootie” Counts Dellinger, 77, of Lynchburg passed away Friday, March 1, 2024. She was the wife of the late Douglas Franklin Dellinger.
Bonnie, or Tootie, was born September 10, 1946, in Haysi, Virginia, a daughter of the late Charles A. Counts and Inez Powers Counts. Tootie retired from Wiley/Wilson Architecture & Engineering and attended Blue Ridge Community Church when she was able.
She is survived by her two children: Shannon Pettyjohn of Lynchburg, and Jacob Counts (Elizabeth) of Lynchburg, three grandchildren: Piper Pettyjohn, Madelyn Counts, and Chloe Counts, a former son-in-law Walker Pettyjohn, two brothers-in-law: Peewee Dellinger and Ed Dellinger (Mary), a sister-in-law Carolyn Coch, nephew Cameron Dellinger and a niece Toni Nolf. Tootie is also survived by the following family in Oklahoma, nephews: Chuck, Chad, & Clint and Niece: Carla.
The family will hold a relaxed memorial gathering on Saturday, April 20th at 2pm at Blue Ridge Community Church, 2361 New London Rd., Forest, VA.
