Bonnie Faye Martin, 70, of Holcomb Rock VA, passed peacefully on, Monday April 28, 2014.
Bonnie was born February 24, 1944 in Lynchburg a daughter of the late William Edward Martin and the late Edith McNeely Martin. Bonnie worked as the Office Manager for Belk for over 40 years and was a member of Boonsboro United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her brother Randy Martin and his wife Angie of Lynchburg, a niece Tracy Martin of Abingdon, aunts: Nellie Jennings, of Bedford, Lois Reynolds, of Big Island, Norma Williams, of Coleman Falls, Joan Arthur, of Lynchburg, Kathleen Smith, of Lynchburg, Barbara Rader and her husband James, of Lynchburg, and Vivian Snead, of Chesterfield VA, uncle Charles (Sonny) McNeely and his wife Grace, of Coleman Falls, and numerous cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:30 pm Thursday May 1, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg.
A Celebration of Bonnie’s Life will be held at 11:00 am Friday May 2, 2014 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Litten and the Rev. Carl Saunders officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Boonsboro United Methodist Church, 113 Coffee Rd Lynchburg, VA 24503.
