Bonnie L. Gibboney, 82, formerly of Altoona, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 16, 2023, in Lynchburg, Va.
She was born in Altoona, the daughter of Floyd A. and Leona B. (Prough) Honstine. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Delores Crownover. She was a 1959 graduate of Altoona High School. She enjoyed tennis, gardening, drawing and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State
Bonnie is survived by a daughter, Shelli Richardson (David) of Lynchburg, Va.; a daughter, Tanya Aviola (Joseph) of Wilmington, Del.; and her son, Bret Lantz (Trisha) of Point Pleasant Beach, N.J.; eight grandchildren: Keri Redman (Craig), Sara Davies, Leah Gearheart, Joseph Aviola III, Marissa Aviola, Jesse Lantz, Olivia Webber and Christopher Webber; and five great-grandchildren: Rylee Davies, Easton Davies, Briella Orzechowski Aviola, Sam Redman and Neil Redman. Bonnie also loved her dog, Sammy.
Her children will lovingly honor her wishes for a private memorial service to be held at a later date.
