Brady McClung Ayers Bates, 88, of Bedford passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Bedford County Nursing Home. She was the loving wife of the late Stafford C. Bates, Sr.
Born February 4, 1929 in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Roy Davidson Ayers and Leola Virginia Mutispaugh Ayers.
Brady is survived by her four children: Stafford C. Bates, Jr and wife, Gloria, David A. Bates and wife, Judy, Brenda Gail Kalch, Sherrie Downey and husband, Curtis; 10 Grandchildren; 15 Great-Grandchildren; 6 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Graveside service will be Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethesda United Methodist Church. 14340 Wyatts Way, Huddleston, VA.
