Brash Edmond Smith

Brash Edmond Smith, 33, of Big Island passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. He was born on January 25, 1990. A son of Mark Edmond Smith and the late Trilby Vernell Daniels. In addition to his mother Brash was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James E. Smith, Johnny Daniels, and William Lacy.

Brash was a strong, compassionate, and simple man. A born-again Viking who loved hunting, fishing, hiking, spending time on the river and outdoors. He was a maintenance technician for Bedford County. He loved his family and spending time with them, especially his wife and boys. Brash was a huge Las Vegas Raiders fan and loved playing his guitar. He was loved dearly and will be missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his father, Mark E. Smith and his wife, Kim, Brash was survived by his wife, Samantha Smith; four sons, Demetri Harrison, Andrew Smith, Elijah Harrison and Barrett Smith; brother, Ben McKinney and his wife, Jennifer and their four daughters; sister, Kirah Smith; grandmothers, Marie Gibbs and her husband, Hildery, Phyllis Smith and Linda Lacy; father-in-law, William Cabeca; Mother-in-law, Janice Cabeca; his best friend who was like a brother, Lewis Edward “Tray” Bowling, III. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and so many friends.
