Brenda Ann Paige Harris

Brenda P. Harris fell asleep in death March 24, 2016 at Centra Hospice House. She was born October 31, 1947 to the late Samuel Walker and Mattie Mariah Paige. She was preceded in death by her second youngest brother, Vincent R. Paige.

Brenda was known as a very sweet, kind and caring person.  She will be remembered for visiting the sick, generously giving time and resources to others, and for her hospitality. In addition to these traits, she was certainly aware of her spiritual need, and up to her death did what she could to fill it. She received many visits by family and friends shortly before her death and died comfortably.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Raymond Harris; two sons, Jarrod Jeffery Harris and Jonathan Ray Harris; one grandson, Javar Saunders; two brothers, Clinton W. Page (Beatrice) and Kerry “Ricky” Paige (Gail); numerous nieces and nephews, many cousins who were like siblings, and many friends.

A memorial service will be held April 2, 2016 at the Lynchburg Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Wigginton Rd at 3 p.m. Family night is April 1, 2016 from 7p.m. until 8 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory on Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg.
