Brenda Daniel Randolph, 68, of Lynchburg went to be with her Lord Tuesday June 4, 2013. She was the wife of the late Claude Randolph, Sr.
Brenda was born June 8, 1944 in Lynchburg a daughter of the late Murray Carter and the late Emmaline Daniel Morris. Brenda was active in her community belonging to the Pride of Lynchburg Temple #81 where she served as chaplain, the Frances Lee Purple Cross Nurses, the Shearer Stewart Council, and she was a member of Jackson Street United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons: James Randolph of Roanoke and Claude Randolph, Jr. (Lisha) of Lynchburg, three daughters: Rena Randolph (Henry) and Frances Randolph all of Lynchburg, and Clevonnee Mason of Lynchburg, a half-brother John Thornhill of Atlanta, GA, eleven grandchildren, with two devoted granddaughters; Latoya Jordan and husband Adrian and Lakisha Randolph, five great-grandchildren, a nephew Anthony Moss of Lynchburg, devoted friends Rosell Johnson, Frank Coles, and Penny Young, and a host of family, friends, and members at Jackson Street U.M.C.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday June 7, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg.
A Celebration of Brenda\"™s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday June 8, 2013 at Jackson Street United Methodist Church with Dr. Alexander Duncan, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
