Brenda Mae Holdren Ragland

Brenda Mae Holdren Ragland, 76, of Roanoke passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024. She was born on October 16, 1947, to the late John G. Holdren and Alta Brown Holdren. 

 Brenda never met a stranger and her smile would light up a room. Her love for God and her strong faith was an inspiration to many as she spread God’s word and love each and every day. 

 She is survived by her daughter, Stacy Pound, and husband Matt; sister, Becky Lavinder and husband Ron; twin sister, Linda Johnson; brother, Raymond “Mark” Holdren; and the lights of her life, her two grandchildren, Fuller Pound, and Tate Pound. She is also survived by numerous other family and friends. Brenda also leaves behind a second family at Our Lady of the Valley where she lived and served as Ambassador, welcoming new residents.

 A funeral service will be held at 10am March 2, 2024, at Seneca Baptist Church, 8572 Roanoke Rd. Elliston, VA 24087 with Pastor John Collins officiating.
