Bruce Anthony “Panama” Burkholder, 59, of Evington, died Saturday, April 21, 2018.
Born Tuesday, March 10, 1959 in Lynchburg, Bruce was a son of the late George Burkholder, Jr., and Margaret Stinnett Francis.
In addition to his father, Bruce was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eldridge and Blanche Stinnett, and George and Marian Burkholder; brothers, Steve Garwood and Jason Francis.
In addition to his mother Bruce is survived by his brothers, Allen Burkholder (Nadine), and Mike Garwood; sister in-law, Michelle Francis; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Bruce was a Christian who loved his cat, Taffy, the beach and fishing. He was a friend to many and a beloved family member. Many thanks to “Al” Reed, his neighbor and friend.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A celebration of Bruce’s life will follow at 3:30 p.m., with Pastor Kevin Brooks officiating.
