Cabell Joseph “CJ” Millner, 78, of Lynchburg died Friday, January 26, 2018. He was the husband of the late Effie Davis Millner.
CJ was born in Halifax County, Virginia on May 18, 1939. He was the son of the late Roy Millner and May Eanes Millner. CJ was retired from BWX Technologies, Inc.
He is survived by his three sons: Joseph L. Millner and his wife Genise of Lynchburg, Richard H. Millner and Debbie of Rustburg, and Jonathan Davis Millner of Lynchburg, one sister, Frances M. Brooks and her husband Marion of Gretna, three brothers: Wayne Millner and his wife Mary of Mebane, NC, Melvin Millner and his wife Millie of Randleman, NC, and Roger Millner and wife Brenda of Staley, NC, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of CJ’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with Pastor Ray Triplett officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
