Camilla “Millie” Mcdowell

Camilla \"Millie\" Ellen McDowell, 51, of Forest, VA, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, January 11, 2014. She was the wife of Tim McDowell, who loved her so much that he married her twice!

Millie McDowell was born on February 27, 1962 in Norfolk, VA. She was the daughter of Shirley Taylor of Danville and the late James \"Jim\" Taylor.

In addition to a loving Wife she was also a loving mother to her son Ben McDowell of Lynchburg and daughter Taylor McDowell, stationed in Hampton VA. She is survived by her sister Jamye Wright and husband Jeff of Danville and their children Jill and Jimmie. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Kelly Ward and husband Steve of Lynchburg and their children Beth and Meg.

Millie McDowell was full of life and laughter. She enjoyed sailing with Bill Hammond, cooking jambalaya, playing with her dogs, and everything creative. She was truly a blessing and inspiration to everyone whose life she touched.

A celebration of Millie's life will be conducted at 1:00PM on Monday, January 13, 2014 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church with Rev. Charles B. Willoughby officiating.

The family is requesting that the dress of the day be casual and to wear something that represents the Washington Redskins, Millie\"™s favorite team.
