Carmen Anne Elizabeth Pequeen Thompson, 69, of Moneta, passed away Thursday, March 08, 2012. Born July 6, 1942, in Cleveland, OH; she was a daughter of the late Jerry Pequeen and Jane Leber Pequeen. She was a graduate of D\"™Youville College in Buffalo, NY. She was a retired school teacher and member of Resurrection Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gary Lloyd Thompson, and her daughter Jennifer Anne Thompson.

Carmen is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Robin Thompson; seven grandchildren; Jordan, Gabrielle, Cole, Jack, Jude, Wyatt and Ella Jane; siblings; Jerry Pequeen, Gail Dasta, Faith O\"™Day, Donald Pequeen, David Pequeen, Debbie Lucca, and Gwendolyn Carncross.

Memorial contributions will be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 733 Third Avenue, New York, NY 10017.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 11 AM, Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Resurrection Catholic Church with Father Salvador Añonuevo celebrating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 4 to 6 PM, Monday, March 12, 2012 at the church. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, (540)-586-3443.
