Carol Jenks Wilson

Carol Jenks Wilson, 80, of Lynchburg, Va., went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, March 29, 2019. She was the wife of the late Lyle Samuel Wilson for 30 years.
Born May 21, 1938, in Orange County, Carol was a daughter of the late Carroll Jenks, and the late Sue Pruitt Jenks.
In addition to Sam, Carol was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Carroll Ware, a brother, Bob Jenks, a step son Garnett Wilson, and a grandson, Chris Ward.
Carol is survived by her children: Allen Ware, Judy Moore, Susan Brown, and Kevin Ware, a sister, Connie J. Sanders, and her husband, Dixon, and Sam’s children, Patricia “Trickie” Wilson, Larry Wilson, and Renee Eagle, 16 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society, 1211 Old Graves Mill Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
