Carolyn Turpin Camden, 94, of Midlothian, died Thursday, November 28, 2024. Born November 7, 1930, in Bedford, Virginia, daughter of the late Harry Turpin and Lillian Hatcher Turpin. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, H. Norvel Camden, Jr, sisters, Margaret Turpin Ayers and Harriet Turpin Cooper. Carolyn was a member of River Road Church, Baptist. She was a graduate of Lynchburg College earning a degree in elementary education. Carolyn taught elementary school in both Norfolk and Blacksburg, Virginia, and worked as a 4-H agent in the VPI&SU Extension Service in Spotsylvania and Chesterfield Counties.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Camden Rucker and her husband, Mike and Julia Camden Boykin and her husband, Earl, all of Midlothian; two grandchildren, Benjamin Willis (Nichole) of Cartersville, Georgia, and Bradley Willis (Marie) of Apex, North Carolina; six great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would especially like to acknowledge care-givers Johany and Isabel for all that they did for Carolyn.
