Carolyn Johnson Wingfield
Carolyn Johnson Wingfield, 60, of Rustburg, VA, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010. She was the wife of David Eugene Wingfield.
Mrs. Wingfield was born Tuesday, September 20, 1949 in Lynchburg, VA, a daughter of the late Clarence Edward \"Pete\" Johnson and Mary Kirby Johnson. She was the past owner of Jumbo Restaurant. She was a member of Women of the Moose Lodge #1335.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, David Anthony Wingfield and wife, Catherine of Forest, Melissa Gentry and husband, Christopher of Forest, and Brian Wingfield and wife, Candace of Lynchburg; and her grandchildren, Joshua, Mary Charlotte, Carson, Amber, Jonathan, Haley, Braden, and Dylan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Anita Robbins.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A celebration of Carolyn's life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 11, 2010 at Tharp Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Jackson officiating. Interment will be in Meade Cemetery.
