Carolyn Barker Ramsey

Carolyn Barker Ramsey of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away peacefully on January 16, 2024 at the age of 80.

Carolyn was born on September 15, 1943 in Lynchburg, Virginia to Vernon and Mabel Barker.  Carolyn was loved by everyone who knew her.  She was known for her kindness, generosity, fun-loving nature, and keen sense of humor.  She was a dedicated life-long employee of Kroger.  She enjoyed spending time with friends and family including watching football, racing, Tiger Woods, and cooking.  She also loved animals and raising labs, especially her pride and joy, Dexter. 

Carolyn was a very special lady and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held at 6:00PM on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Tharp Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Alzheimer's Association at 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
