Carolyn Marie Reichard, 64, of Madison Heights, VA, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at her home in Madison Heights, VA.
Carolyn was born on January 16, 1957 in Lynchburg, Va. to John and Helen Reichard. She graduated from Holy Cross in 1975 and Randolph Macon Woman’s College in 2002 with a BA in English.
Carolyn loved writing, artwork, genealogy, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family/friends.
She is survived by her six children David Coles, Jason Coles, Rebecca Whalen, and Shane Phelps of Madison Heights, Va, Taylor Phelps of Forest, Va., and Heidi Phelps of Lynchburg, Va.; four grandchildren Levi Coles, Noah Dancey, Denver Whalen, and Amerisa Phelps.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Tharp Funeral Home, Madison Heights, from 4 to 6 p.m. A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Tharp Funeral Home, Madison Heights, at 12 p.m. with Dr. Davis Cash officiating. Interment will follow at Briarwood Memorial Gardens.
