Carolyn Sue Lodge

Carolyn \"Sue\" Lodge, 65, of Salem, formally of Bedford, died on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Lewis Gale Medical Center. Born on July 15, 1946, a daughter of the late David E. Citty and Louise May Bush Citty. In addition to her parents Sue is preceded in death by three sisters, Maxine Pierce, Audrey Spradlin and Barbara Martin.

Sue was a lover of all animals and she especially had a great love for her dog sunny. She worked as a nurse with Snyder Nursing Home.

Sue is survived by her loving husband, Michael E. Lodge; a son, David Wayne Lawhorn, and Daughter-in-law, Crystal of Roanoke; a granddaughter, McKenzie Leigh Lawhorn; a brother, Raymond Citty and his wife, Emilie of, Goode; a sister Mildred Pistilli of Eden, NC; also numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to, Roanoke Valley SPCA, 1340 Baldwin Avenue Northeast, Roanoke, VA 24012. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Donnie Glass officiating.
