Catherine Conner

Catherine M. Conner, 95, of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away on October 1, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Peyton and Sadie McCraw.

Catherine was born on June 6, 1928, in Gladys, Virginia. After school, Catherine spent most of her life as a loving mother and homemaker. Later, she enjoyed traveling with her loving husband Bill and was very active in their RV club for many years. Catherine loved visiting with family and friends and in the last several years she found much enjoyment from her frequent card games with her good friends at Valley View Retirement Community.

Catherine is survived by her son: Jay Conner of Lynchburg; son-in-law Tony Wright of Concord; her grandchildren: Stacy Otis (Dan) of Mathews Virginia, Megan Barricks (Justin) of Concord, Keith Wright (Carmen) of Forest, and Zack Conner of Lynchburg; her great-grandchildren: Mark and Matt Hall, and Rae Wright; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Catherine is predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Conner, former husband Richard Martin, daughter Cathy Wright, son Barry Martin, brothers Edward, Raymon, and Peyton McCraw, and sister Gladys Fore.

A graveside service will be held on Friday October 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
