Catherine Giles Brown
Catherine Giles Brown, 69, of Forest, VA, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 23, 2013. She was the loving wife of William P. Brown for 48 years.
Born Sunday, April 04, 1943 in Lynchburg, Catherine was the daughter of the late William D. Giles and the late Gladys Smith Giles.
In addition to her husband Catherine is survived by her son, Christopher Giles Brown, of Forest.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two Aunts: Beatrice Ballowe and Ruby Floyd.
Catherine was a loving wife and mother. She loved her church and taught Sunday School there for many years. She loved to cook and was known for her brown sugar pound cake.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m.to 8:30 p.m. on Monday February 25, at Living Word Baptist Church. A celebration of Catherine's life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Living Word Baptist Church with Pastor Marvin Suitt and Rev. Thomas Matthew Short officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
