Cecelia Catherine Murphy

Cecelia Catherine McCarthy Murphy, 94, of Lynchburg, died Friday, July 6, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Timothy Joseph McCarthy and Elizabeth Ann McCarthy. Cecelia was born in Millis, Mass., on May 29, 1918.

Cecelia is survived by her son, Chuck Murphy (Ann), Ann of Hardy, VA.; two grandchildren; Kate Murphy(Preston) of San Luis Obispo, CA. and Kevin Murphy (Lauren) of Loudoun, Co, VA.; one sister; Mary Barrett of Westwood, MA.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Joseph Murphy; one sister Elenor Kenney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Resurrection Catholic Church, Moneta, VA at 11 am on Wednesday, July 11. Private burial will take place later in Massachusetts.
