Cecil Dennis Booze, 72, of Thaxton passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014. He was the loving husband of Virginia Ann Booze.
Born in Fincastle on December 8, 1941, Cecil was a son of the late Ray Gilbert Booze and Elizabeth Imogene Calhoon Booze. He is also preceded in death by his former wife, Patricia Craft Booze and his daughter, Valerie Lynn Booze.
Dennis was formerly of Fincastle and Huddleston.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Billie Jo Catron; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jeffery, Bridget, Brittany Catron and Seth Snead; great-granddaughter, Delilah Catron; brother, Herbert Booze; and a number of cousins.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Tharp Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Sheehan officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
