Cecil Milton Kidd, 66, of Big Island formerly of Mechanicsville, Maryland, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on January 18, 1944 a son of the late Theodore Wilson Kidd and Dorothy Sandidge Kidd.Cecil was an absolutely fearless, kindhearted, loving craftsman who could fix anything, and was always there to giving a helping hand to those in need. He was a Postal Carrier in Waldorf, Maryland where he retired before moving back to Virginia. He held a private pilots license, he was a Maryland state drag racing champ where he won two consecutive Presidential Cups, and was an active member of 14 years in the Lexington Park Rescue Squad.
The family would like him to be remembered for his kindness to others and always being a devoted family man who loved spending time with his family and friends.He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 38 years, Sharon Ann Cusic Kidd; the apple of his eye, daughter, Kimberly Kidd Ramsey and her husband and special son-in-law, David Sharpe Ramsey of Mechanicsville, MD; two adored grandchildren, Ashley Ann Ramsey and Mckenzie Ann Ramsey.Memorial Contributions may be made to the Big Island Emergency Crew, P.O.
