Cedric Lee Organ, Sr. slipped away peaceably after midnight 12:03 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Centra’s Health Care facility. He was born on December 10, 1961 in Lynchburg, Va. He was the son of the late Nannie R. Organ Carter and the late Leon D. Organ, Sr. He was preceded also in death by a sister, Toni D. Organ, a brother, David W. Organ, and a niece Lekisia D. Turner.
He attended Lynchburg Public Schools and was a graduate of E.C. Glass High School. He was baptized at an early age at Fifth Street Baptist Church by the late Rev. Dr. J. D. Moore. His profession was in Maintenance. He worked various jobs in Roanoke, Va. and Lynchburg, Va. He was a jack of all trades.
He is survived by three children: two sons, Cedric, Jr. and Sidney; and he adored his baby girl, Jasmine. In addition, he is survived by a granddaughter, Shaniya. He is also survived by two sisters, Harriet Hubbard and Linda Dailey; one brother, Leon Organ, Jr. (Valerie) all of Lynchburg; a brother Delgreco McQueen (Sylvia) of Yonkers, N.Y; a devoted friend, Mike Brimm, many cousins, nieces, and nephews; a great niece whom he adored, Malana Morris, of Virginia Beach; an aunt, Cora Townsend, of Detroit, Mich.; three uncles, William Irvin (Linda) and Charles Townsend (Shelley), both of Lynchburg, and Dr. John Organ (Eleanor) of Colesville, Md.
