Celia Agnes Doyle, 87, of Lynchburg died peacefully on January 26, 2015, at Westminster Canterbury in Lynchburg, VA. She was born October 13, 1927 in Lynchburg, VA to the late Cecilia Allen and William Michael Doyle.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Patricia K. Doyle; nieces and nephews: Michael (Kenni) Doyle of Concord, NC; Leigh C. Doyle of Forest; Thomas O. (Mary) Doyle of Richmond; Elizabeth A. Doyle and Peter K. (Julie) Doyle of Lynchburg; and Kathleen G. (Mary Jo Callan) Doyle of Ypsilanti, MI.
Celia was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: William A. and Thomas O. Doyle; and her sister-in-law Betty Leigh N. Doyle.
A lifelong member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Celia graduated from Holy Cross Academy in Lynchburg, VA and St. Joseph College in Emmitsburg, MD. She was a Wedding Planner and Floral Designer at Doyle’s Florist in Lynchburg, VA.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 30, 2015, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Commons at Westminster Canterbury.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Paul F. Doyle officiating. Interment will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 710 Clay Street, Lynchburg, VA 24504.
