Charles Fisher

Pastor Charles H. Fisher, 69 of Moneta, entered his heavenly home on June 24, 2016. He was born on May 2, 1947 in Winchester, VA. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He attended Eastern Christian College and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Anchor Theological Seminary. He served in churches throughout Virginia and West Virginia for the past thirty years. He was currently the Pastor of Peaks View Christian Church in Bedford where he had served for sixteen years. He was preceded in death by a sister Cheryl Barcol.

 

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of twenty three years Deena; three daughters, Ginger Lawhorn and husband, Jamie of Winchester, Amy Scott and husband, Kenny of Winchester, and Christina Agee and husband, Dwayne of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Michael, Cooper, Adrianna, Kendall and Kaden; one brother, Terry Fisher and wife, Debbie of Winchester also numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

 

A service and celebration of Charles’s life will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Peaks View Christian Church with Pastor Paul Hatfield officiating. There will be a reception with fellowship to follow the service next door at Bedford Christian Church. Burial with follow the reception at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, VA.
