Charles T. “Tommy” Miles, Jr.

Charles Thomas \"Tommy\" Miles, Jr., 40, of Rustburg, died on Saturday, December 18, 2010. He was born on February 2, 1970 in Lynchburg.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Karla Whitehead Miles of Rustburg, his mother, Kay Davis Montgomery and husband, Benny of Lynchburg; his father, Charles T. Miles, Sr. and companion, Josephine Wells of Rustburg; his daughters, Whitney A. Miles of Lynchburg, Summer Miles of Bluemont and Savannah Miles of Rustburg; his sister, Julie Ann Miles and husband, Brad Duerson of Bluemont; his grandmother, Lona B. Davis of Rustburg; his lifelong friend, Mike Marshall and many loyal friends and family members.  He was predeceased by his grandparents, Nelson and Connie Miles and his grandfather, Frank L. Davis, Sr.

Tommy was a member of Rustburg Baptist Church, a graduate of Rustburg High School and was employed at Banker Steel.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Rustburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger J. Roller and the Rev. Rick Cole officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church and at other times at the residence of either of his parents.
